Elizabeth Timberlake-Newell approaches the practice of law with both intellectual rigor and a deep commitment to serving her community. Drawing on a diverse professional background as a historian, journalist, educator, and nonprofit executive, Elizabeth brings strong research, analytical, and communication skills to her legal practice while maintaining a practical, client-focused perspective.
A lifelong member of the Boyertown community, Elizabeth is a graduate of Boyertown Area High School and continues to maintain deep local ties. She earned her Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston. Prior to entering the legal profession, Elizabeth completed a Ph.D. in History from the University of Glasgow and earned her master’s degree in History from West Chester University of Pennsylvania after completing her undergraduate studies at Pennsylvania State University. Her academic career included teaching history and humanities courses at the college level, where she developed the ability to analyze complex issues and communicate them clearly—skills that now serve her especially well.
Elizabeth’s practice focuses primarily on estate planning and estate administration, where she assists clients with wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, and the probate process. She also advises clients on child support and custody matters on a limited basis and provides legal support to small businesses and nonprofit organizations in areas such as contract drafting and review, trademark applications and renewals, and general compliance matters. In addition, Elizabeth handles landlord-tenant matters and brings broad experience in civil litigation, legal research, and regulatory compliance.
Elizabeth’s interest in the law began at an early age when her father took her to see the United States Constitution, and it was further sparked after watching the film First Monday in October, which inspired her early fascination with the legal profession.
Outside of her legal work, Elizabeth remains deeply involved in the Boyertown community. She volunteers with youth organizations and local nonprofits and recently served as Secretary of the Boyertown Area Senior High Cheerleading Booster Club. She is also returning to Girl Scouts as a troop leader after previously serving in several leadership roles. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys running, weightlifting, camping, spending time with her daughters, and taking long walks with her four dogs.
